The Sunjoy Harborcreek 5 x 8 Grill Gazebo earns high marks for its budget-friendly price tag, lightweight yet sturdy steel construction, and ample storage space.

This grill gazebo provides 40 square feet of weather protection. Despite its generous square footage, this unit is still light enough to move around the patio.

Considering its powder-coated steel frame construction, I was surprised that it only weighs 41.9 pounds. Those who live in high-wind areas may benefit from a set of affordable canopy weights to ensure this grill gazebo stays put.

Additional features include a double-tiered roof with a weather-resistant canopy. No more standing in the rain or hot sun. No more trapped barbeque smoke.

Those who like to mingle and grill will enjoy the two built-in bar-style shelves with grill tool hooks. These shelves give guests a comfortable spot to set down their drinks or just lean and chat. The tool hooks are a bonus, especially if youre prone to misplacing things!

If youre looking for an affordable grill gazebo that keeps you cool, dry, and organized, check out the Sunjoy Harborcreek 5 x 8 Grill Gazebo.

The CoastShade 8 x 5 Double Tiered Outdoor BBQ Gazebo is one of the most affordable BBQ grill gazebos on the market, but dont let the price tag fool you. This is a sharp-looking, well-made unit.

Grill Gazebo Shelter And Pergola Designs

If you are BBQ fans and throw such parties nearly every weekend, you definitely need an outdoor kitchen or at least well-organized grill area. The most important point here is a grill gazebo, shelter or pergola anything that you consider proper to cover the grill and defend your food from bad weather conditions in case they happen.

Benefits Of Grill Gazebos

Grilling gazebos are explicitly designed to shield the grilling space from outdoor elements without trapping the smoke. This means a cooler, dryer, healthier, and more comfortable grilling experience.

Yet grill gazebos do a lot more than provide protection. A barbecue gazebo transforms backyards into social spaces where friends can mingle, enjoy food and drinks, or just relax on the patio furniture.

And because more barbecue outdoor gazebos come with shelves and tool hooks, they help grillers stay organized.

Cut The Cupola Rafters

  • Cut the rafters and the curved rafter tail buildups using the information in Fig. F.
  • Pro tip:Study Figs. A, E and F in the attachments at the beginning of this article.
  • Cut your lower rafters and screw curved rafter tail buildups to the ends of the lower rafter.
  • Cut the 1×2 inner and outer vertical rafter ties .
  • Notice that these 2×4 outer vertical rafter ties have slots cut in them to slip over the upper and lower rafters.
  • You can cut these slots with a table saw or circular saw, working from each end.
  • First cut one side with multiple passes and then flip the rafter tie over and cut multiple passes from the other side.
  • You’ll get an angled slope at the end of the slot from the roundness of the blade.

Make a markup. In order not to waste time in vain, you can not install rags for a small Foundation, it is enough to mark a right angle, check the diagonals and drive wedges into the ground next to the corner piles. They must be of sufficient height to mark the General horizontal for construction. Later, for each pile, you need to make the heads, the height corresponding to the horizontal marking so that the binding on the piles immediately fell into the horizon. Why do you need to drive wedges next to the piles, and not along the axes? So that the markup can always be restored, because we do not build a gazebo in one day, in case of any doubts, you can always check.

If the marking is ready, its time to dig or drill holes for piles. The images show rectangular Foundation blocks. The area of their support is relatively large, but the depth of such piles should not be less than the depth of soil freezing. This is important, otherwise, you could just as well have laid the binding through the waterproofing directly on the ground. The only advantage of the Foundation on the rocks the blowing with the wind. Of course, in the southern regions, this is more than enough, but for places where the winter is long and severe, the piles need to be buried below the depth of soil freezing. It is necessary to maintain an equal depth of occurrence .

    Laying-out-the-posts10×8-pavilion

The first step of the HowToSpecialist.com project is to layout the rectangular grill gazebo. Therefore, select the location for the outdoor pavilion and level the surface with attention. Make sure you remove the vegetation layer and even out the surface. Use batter boards and string to layout the location of the legs. Apply the 3-4-5 rule to each corners, so you make sure they are square. Measure the diagonals and make adjustments so they are equal.

    Setting the posts

After marking the location of the posts, you need to dig 3-4 deep holes in the ground and 12 in diameter, using a post hole digger. Install tube forms and fill them with concrete. Secure the anchors. For this project we will use post anchors, so you dont need to set the posts into concrete.

After installing the posts you need to check the tops are aligned one with another. Use a laser level / water level to mark the horizontal line to the top of the posts. Use a circular saw to make the cuts if necessarily.

    Top-plates

Use 6×6 lumber for the top plates. Make notches to the beams, using a circular saw. Set the saw depth at 2 3/4. Make the notches to the plates using a saw and a chisel. Make parallel cuts and then remove the excess with a hammer and a chisel. Smooth the recesses with sandpaper. These cut outs will help you create half lap joints, which makes for a strong and durable way of bonding wood together.

No one likes to deal with building permits, but they are usually required when building an outdoor structure. Building codes and regulations vary from one location to the next. In most places, a structure that is 100 square feet or less does not require a permit. However, check with the building permit office for local regulations in your area, to avoid getting a fine later.

Before building any outdoor structure, contact your local utility company to check for underground utility lines. The number 811 is the federally designated “call before you dig” number. It’s there to help homeowners and professionals identify where underground lines are buried to avoid damage.

Whether you have DIY gazebo plans or are assembling a pre-made kit, study your plans before you begin. A gazebo is a free-standing structure with open sides. It can be rectangular, round, oval but the traditional shape is octagonal. Some gazebo types include metal gazebos or wood gazebos.
