Diy Coffee Table Plans
Did we finish there? Of course not! Once we set the couch up we realized it really needed a coffee table and it just so happened that Ana White also created a coffee table that matched the couch! That build took only half a day and looks so great with the set. You can find those plans here.
Please note: Here I am covering the build of only the full couch. If you are making the partial couch that is the second part of the sectional I realized the plans are missing one piece of wood on the cut list. It is missing 28 1/2 piece so please be sure to add that to the plan.
Pallet Patio Swing Chairs
Swing chairs are amazing furniture that could definitely bring relaxation and comfort to you. Aside from the design, it is ideally placed outdoors to enjoy fresh air when your swinging with it. This swing chair is a contemporary type of furniture, there is no theme, all colors are mixed together added with the pure color of the wood.
You can also put swing beds indoor, on your porch. You will still enjoy the breeze of fresh air. This swing bed has unique style though its still created from pallet wood. It literally is a bed with comforter and pillows on it. This could be a relaxing way to sit down after a tiring day at work.
Another one would be this swing bed. As you can see its located outdoors under a tree. You can put up a swing like this but you need to make sure to have a spacious place not too spacious to create a relaxing swing bed like this.
Beachy Natural Wooden Benches
If you are looking to build a bench that is versatile, simple, and sturdy, then this is a first-rate choice. The dark natural wood color fits in with any outdoor setting and makes for easy maintenance. You can, of course, opt for any colored wood youd like, and dont forget to add cushions that go with your other patio design elements.

How To Build A Patio Couch Out Of Pallets
With a few discarded pallets, I created a comfortable outdoor sitting spacefor a quarter of the price of store-bought models.
My wife and I enjoy entertaining on our backyard deck, which weve lovingly maintained over the years to provide a restful, relaxing retreat for family and friends. However, it has always lacked adequate seating, so we went shopping for patio furniture recently and were shocked at the high cost.
Outdoor couches run about $800 add two side chairs and the price jumps to over $1,200. I was starting to think that maybe having our guests stand around wasnt so bad after all. My wife, Hattie, had other ideas. She went online, searched for DIY deck furniture projects, and found several that were built out of wooden pallets. Admittedly the designs were more rustic than refined, but they looked comfortable and simple to build. Most importantly, though, I see wooden pallets stacked up outside of businesses all the time, and theyre free for the taking.
So, I decided to build the outdoor couch shown here using four salvaged pallets and two upholstered seat cushions that Hattie made. Its super comfortable, roomy enough for three adults, and best of all the entire project cost only aboutdrumroll, please$200!
Attach Legs And Arm Rests
- Stand frame on long end.
- Align the two 22 ½-inch legs flush to each side of the frame at 8 ½-inch from the bottom of the leg to the bottom of the frame, pre-drill two holes and attach with screws.
- Flip frame over and repeat on opposite side.
- Stand sofa on legs.
- Secure the two 24-inch armrests to the top of the legs, flush with the inside of the legs, by pre-drilling and attaching one screw in each end.

Fill Holes Sand And Stain
Fill the 4 screw holes and nail holes in with stainable wood filler. If you havent sanded your boards yet , go ahead and sand them well.

Finish off your project with exterior wood stain! I used Valspar semi transparent exterior stain in Pine bark. It was one of the only exterior stains I could find that came in a quart size and not a gallon size. And it only took one coat!

After staining, let your couch dry for a full 24 hours, then add the cushions, and enjoy!!!

Attach Legs To The Frame Of The Couch
Take 4×4 board and cut four pieces to 8 3/4 in length. Then trim the bottom of the leg to 77 degrees on all four sides. The top of the leg will need to have two pocket holes on two sides of the leg.
Now attach the leg to the 2×4 sofa frame with wood glue and 2 1/2 pocket holes screws. Make sure the legs are the same distance from the ends of the sofa.

Attach Bottom Seat Supports
Attach a BOTTOM SEAT SUPPORT on the left-hand side. Each end should be cut at a 2° angle as shown in the diagram. Mark 1-3/8″ from the top of the BOTTOM FRONT SPAN. Line up one BOTTOM SEAT SUPPORT to that line and it should meet flush to the BOTTOM BACK SPAN. Secure directly into the LEG and BOTTOM SIDE SPAN with four 2-1/2″ deck screws.
Classic Patio Bench For Two
With easy-to-follow construction plans, this bench will practically make itself. Well, that may be an exaggeration, but still, with some boards, paint, and persistence, you could create your own charming bench in a matter of hours. The pictured color choice obviously plays off the blue pillows, but consider the flowers and surrounding furniture on your patio as you select your paint.

Relaxing And Picturesque Porch Swing
When you think of lazing on the porch on a sunny afternoon, nothing sounds better than being able to sway in that cool gentle breeze. This porch swing is a simple and sturdy option. Beautiful Pool Pallet Patio Deck
This is a fascinating pallet DIYproject. Youll surely be impressed about this pool patio deck because it canmatch those made by professionals. It is perfect for summertime and you justneed a few pallets to start with. The builder started with just 43 pallets. Thepallets were sanded, giving them a smooth surface and getting rid of dirt.
Each pallet was covered and painted with the use of an air-paint gun. The pallets were sun-dried, and when they were fully dried, they were laid 13 by 19 feet on a geotextile fabric.
This will serve as a base, preventing the grass from growing in between the wood. Each pallet was neatly laid down. Next, the wall was built and they added some bench chairs too. You can add flowers and plants around as well as cushions and decorations like vases.
Sew The Fabric Cover Around The Cushions
Start with the bottom piece and sew the front and the side pieces with your sawing machine. Then sew the top piece.
The last piece in the back will first need to have a zipper installed. You could make the zipper as long as you want, but it makes it easier to remove the foam when the zipper is the full length of the cushion. Once the zipper is attached to the back piece, then sew it to the back.
Now invert the cushion cover inside out. The seams should now be on the inside.
When inserting the foam into the cushion cover, it makes the job easier if you cover the foam with thin plastic sheeting. The sheeting makes it easier to slip the foam inside. Now you could zip the cushion cover. Do this for both cushions.

Attach Bottom Frame To Outdoor Couch Side Frames
Attach the bottom frame to the side frames using 2 1/2 Kreg screws and waterproof wood glue and 10 up from the ground . It helps to place the side frame flat on the floor and have a second person hold up the bottom frame on top of it.
Once both side frames have been attached to the bottom frame, go ahead and add the last two 27 1/4 boards on the bottom frame . If its difficult to get them in place, use a hammer to tap them in place better.
Sturdy Diy Outdoor Couch By Homemade Modern
Here is another modern DIY outdoor couch from HomeMade Modern which looks very sturdy. The absence of the additional floor brace makes the outdoor design feel minimalist and thus more modern.
Additionally, the use of 4x8s instead of 2x4s, coupled with the grey stain, gives it a great first impression. On the other hand, the darkness of the finished product doesnt tend to lend itself well with your traditional decking lumber.
I think this sofa and cushions would be more appropriate in a formal tiled patio setting with similar furniture than adjacent to a grill.

Pallet Patio Plant Garden
Four words for this: Simple, Chic, Fabulous, Stylish. Isnt this just an amazing idea to put up a nice easy garden around your house? Yes, indeed it is. How To Build A Picnic Table And Benches
The table legs are 2 × 6’s, joined and braced with 2 × 4 cross piecesat each end to form two leg assemblies.
You can build a sturdy and good-looking picnic table for about half the cost of ready-made — a project well worth your time, in savings and enjoyment. Here’s what you’ll need.
Tools: measuring rule, pencil, carpenters’ square, handsaw or power saw, C-clamps power drill with 3/8-, 7/32-, 7/64-, and 1/4-inch bits adjustable wrench, hammer, large screwdriver, block plane, belt sander or sanding block.
Materials: 2 × 6 and 2 × 4 redwood stock 3/8 × 5 1/2-inch or 1/4 × 5 1/2-inch carriage bolts, flat washers, and locknuts scrap board, 10-penny common nails, masking tape, 5 1/2-inch #12 × 3 flathead brass wood screws, coarse-, medium-, and fine-grit sanding belts or sandpaper.
Time: about 4 to 6 hours for the table about 2 hours per bench.
The table. Make the picnic table with redwood 2 × 6 and 2 × 4 stock, cut to a standard size. For the leg assemblies at each end of the table, measure and mark two 2 × 6’s to a length of 28 1/2 inches, using a carpenters’ square to make sure the ends are even. Cut the 2 × 6’s as marked with a handsaw or a power saw. Measure and mark four 2 × 4’s to a length of 36 inches cut them as marked. Repeat to cut two 2 × 6’s and four 2 × 4’s for the other leg assembly.
To put the table together,connect the a 2 × 6 stretcher boards from end to end.
