Want to decorate your porch for Spring on a budget? Here are some cheerful & easy Spring porch decor ideas that look lovely and don’t cost much at all!

I gave our front porch a refresh this week, and I love how it turned out! The only thing I purchased was plants, and the rest of the items were things I had – even a fresh coat of paint for our front door! Let me share our simple front porch decor for Spring, and how you can decorate your porch on a budget this season too.

First things first? I painted our front door! It’s been a deep teal for 7 years, and since it needed a new coat of paint anyhow I thought I may as well try a new colour. This colour’s called Dreaming of the Day by Cloverdale Paint, and it’s a very soft aqua colour. I love the light, bright look and how our wreath pops on it. What do you think? Giving your door a quick coat of paint is a wonderful way to give your entry an entirely different paint on a budget.

I also made a custom house number decal with my Cricut and some black non-permanent vinyl. I think it looks great on the door!

Farmhouse Spring Porch Decor

Last fall we updated the front porch by adding tall black shutters which flank the french doors.

After unsuccessfully searching for the perfect sized vintage shutters, we decided to build our own.

As a result, they are the perfect backdrop for wreaths and seasonal decor. In addition, they add such a dramatic impact to the front porch.

These cute floral hanging baskets were the inspiration for the Spring porch. Although they looked so cute on the black shutter, I decided they looked a little lost.

Therefore, I added the oval, egg shaped grapevine wreath and hung the metal basket in the center. The wreath is secured to the light fixture with the help of these S hooks.
