Ozark Trail 12 Person Tent With Screen Porch

Core 10 Person Instant Cabin Tent With Screen Room

Ozark Trail 12 person cabin tent with screen porch

If youre looking for an affordable family tent the CORE 10 Person Instant Cabin Tent with Screen Room should be on the top of your list.

The pre-assembled frame allows the tent to be set up in minutes, which is essential when youre camping with your troubling kids. The instant cabin is not only easy to set up but it can be folded back quite quickly as well.

CORE Instant Cabin Tent is very spacious because of the screened porch that does a great job keeping the water out of the tent, and the ventilation is pretty good.

Its made up of 100% polyester, which is famous for its durability. Polyester tents are also popular for being lightweight and their ability to not absorb water, i.e., your tent is not getting heavier despite the heavy rainfall.

However, what seems to be lacking in this tent, is an efficient rainfly. The rainfly does not hold well against heavy rainfall therefore, the water leaks into the tent if there is a heavy downpour.

The mesh roof ceiling can be great for star gazing while lying in the tent, but it also means that the sun shines right on your face. Now its on you to decide whether youre unbothered by the sun or not.

Roomy Tent This tent is well constructed, just like every other Coleman I have ever used or owned. There was no concern during a rain storm that we were going to get rained on and the floor is solid.

Great tent for all weather! Anyone who had issues with this tent not holding up in the winds either didnt stake it down properly or may not have had the rain guard on it for extra support. Bought this tent to go to Rocklahom.

Good investment I bought this Thursday, as I spent three days in the field. It was an easy set up and take down. For the money you spend on it, its a great investment.

This is the best tent we have ever owned! So many great features but our favorite is the roof part of the tent is all screen! So on clear nights you can leave the cover off and stargaze without.

Air flow/windows While the tent is fantastic and is perfect for myself, one other and my dog, I wish the design allowed for a few more windows. Not quite enough air flow without having to take the tarp off.

Design Of Ozark Trail 12 Person Cabin Instant Tent

This Ozark Trail 12 person tent is designed to resemble a cabin. It feels like staying in a lightweight portable cabin rather than a tent. This tent is definitely one that is for large groups. There are many other versions of Ozark Trail Tents. But in the instant version, you have one big tunnel-shaped tent.

The dimension of it is 20 feet by 10 feet. The center height of it is 6.6 feet. On the edges, it decreases and reaches a height of 5.9 feet.

So no doubt about the space inside the cabin tent. The space is big enough for fitting 12 people into sleeping bags. Imagine how much leftover space will be there when it is only you and your family.

Moreover, this big 20ftX10ft room can be turned into three rooms with sewers sewn-in dividers.

All three rooms of the Ozark Trail 12 Person cabin instant tent will be well ventilated with mesh windows and a roof. But the entrance is in the center/ middle room only. There are two entrances. One at the front and one at the rear, but both of them are in the center room.

The design of the tent is self-standing. There are fiber and plastic piles for making it stand. The best part is that you wont need to set it up. Just extend them and it will be all set. You wont need any high tree for anchoring it.

However, you must pin the tent to the ground with a hook and loops. Because the tent is about 6.6 feet tall. Winds can easily knock it off place. So make sure to pin it.

    Structure Of The Tent

    Ozark Trail 12

Structure-wise, the Ozark Trail 12-person tent is very well designed. It looks huge and tall from the outside. At first look, it seems to be rectangular. But, if you see from the top of the tent, it is a Y-shape structure. The front side of the tent features a screen room. Apart from that, there are two separate two rooms available inside. Each room has its door and separate windows. There are a total of ten windows available inside the tent.

This is a cabin-style tent with straight steep walls. The measured peak height of this tent is 76 inches, or we can say 193 cm. Therefore, tall campers can also join you on a camping trip. This is a cabin-style tent, and the tent height at the sides remains the same as at the center.

The very beneficial advantage of this tent is that it is a fully freestanding structure. It is not mandatory to stake down the whole tent to the ground. Even after tent setup completion, you can rotate or move this tent-like a box. Moreover, you can easily pitch it on a little uneven ground.

The entire ceiling of the Ozark Trail twelve-person three-room instant cabin tent is with mesh. All windows are also a double-layer structure. This a very good liveable tent and perfect for a summer family camping trip. Disassembling this tent is as easy as pitching this tent.

  • Coleman Cabin Camping Tent With Weatherproof Screen Room

Coleman is quite a renowned name when it comes to tents. The Coleman Cabin Camping Tent with Weatherproof Screen Room is a spacious and remarkable tent that can accommodate 4 or 6 people, accordingly.

A great tent when it comes to camping in a sunny location or somewhere with little rainfall. This tent comes with a tub-like floor with welded corners and inverted seams that dont let the water in.

Because of its detachable rainfly and panoramic windows, there is no issue with the ventilation as well. And maximum ventilation is backed by the ground vents that offer better flow.

The tent is big on space and fulfills the expectations for having adequate room to move in the tent.

Apart from the vestibule space, the vertical height is quite good and gives you room to stand. However, what seems to be missing is a center pole and accessory hook-up points for hanging your lanterns or LEDs.

The screened room is an admirable component of this tent as it offers extra space and keeps the bugs out for good. It may be a little tough to set up if youre just one person, but hey, practice makes you perfect, no?

    Pros

    • Not suitable for a stormy weather.
    • Setting it up is time-taking.
    • No accessory hook-up points,

All in all, I can vouch for this tent if you camp regularly and have the money to spend. Its a great tent overall, and I am sure youd like it too.

Ozark Trail 12 Person Instant Cabin Tent : Review And Guide

What do we miss the most in a camping site? Our home. The safe shelter of our beautiful homes. Fortunately, Ozark can bring you something close to that. The Ozark Trail 12 Person Instant Cabin Tent.

    The real questions are:

Is it worth buying? Does it serve as an instant tent? Is it a tent that is for 3 and 4 seasons? We are sure that you have a lot of questions hovering over your kind and we will answer all of them in this review of the Ozark Trail 12 Person cabin instant tent

We will be reviewing the design and features of the Ozark Trail 12 Person cabin instant tent and share our thoughts on it.

What Type Of Tent Is This

Darrell In Tents | Ozark Trail 12-Person, 2-Room Cabin Tent with Screen Porch

Here you have a beautifully designed family camping tent built in the cabin style with straight and tall walls. This is a structure with two inner rooms plus a front screen porch. So I would put it in the group of 3-room tents.

Note that the inner divider is sewn-in , and you have a zipper in the middle of it. This gives a bit of privacy, but as you know you cannot expect much of it in a tent.

The screen area is not floored, so you can use your camping furniture in it without being worried about the floor. It provides protection from flying insects, and it is with a roof so you can sit in the shade and use the area for cooking as well. I have included it in my list of best family camping tents with a screen porch. The tent comes with an E-cable port shown below so you can get power in.

One could also describe this structure as a freestanding tent but this is a tall and heavy construction so dont even think of using it without stakes, they are included. The peak height is 90 in , so you realize how pleasant and tall this structure is, see the picture below. I have added it to my list of very tall tents for camping.

    The doors & windows

There are two huge doors that get to the screen room, so both of the inner rooms have their own door. The screen room itself has a huge inverted-T shaped door and you can see it in the top picture above.

    Packed Size And Weight

The length x width x height packed size of the Ozark Trail twelve-person three-room instant setup cabin tent is 50 inches x 12 inches x 12 inches, or we can say 127 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm. The packed weight of this tent is around 45 pounds, i.e., 20.40 kilograms. This packed size and weight are very obvious because of its huge size. It features polyester fabric and heavy-duty steel poles.

Therefore, this tent is the best option for family car camping. It will be easy to transport this tent to the camping ground in a car. Make sure that the car is accessible at the actual camping site not to face issues while carrying this tent from the car to the actual camping site.

    Who This Is For

If youre looking to get into car camping for the first time or if youre an experienced camper but your tent has seen better days, embracing your new reality and investing in a shelter made for car camping can make sense.

For this guide, were not looking at overly specialized gear but rather tents that suit the most common terrains youre likely to roll up to in a car-camping scenariograssy lawns or clearings, soil, sand, and basic platforms. Even if youre new to camping and not seeking any extreme-weather adventures, youll still need something that can withstand whatever the elements decide to throw your way. The tents we discuss here are designed to keep you comfortable in three seasons as we touch on later, hardcore winter campers should invest in equipment specifically designed for those conditions.

Finding the smallest, lightest tent that meets your needs is the logical approach when youre backpacking. But with car camping, youll likely be parking right next to your campsite and unloading. If you wont be carrying your tent more than a couple hundred feet, more space means more comfort .

Ozark Trail 16 X 16 Instant Cabin Tent

The Ozark Trail 12 Person 3 Room L-Shaped Instant Cabin Tent should be one of your top picks if youre looking for a large family camping tent with an air conditioner port. The reason we feel it is the best tent for families wanting to bring an air conditioner, is the huge 3 room design which is great especially if you have older and younger children camping together. The tent is considered an instant tent so setup should be relatively easy. Another great feature is a large awning for a shady spot near the tent.

Here is a closeup picture of the ground vent being used as the air conditioner port for the tent. The other great feature of this tent is the E-Port that allows convenient access for an electrical cord without unzipping the door of the tent. This allows electricity to be run for the air conditioner inside the tent through a separate hole, rather than trying to run it through the same port for the air conditioner.

Some things to keep in mind are that this tent is not a tunnel shape like our top pick for 12 person camping tents. This makes this tent more susceptible to winds and harsher weather. However, if you are a fair weather camper who is not camping every weekend and are looking for a large camping tent with an air conditioner port included, and the convenience of a super easy setup, this is an excellent choice for your needs.

    Wenzel 8 Person Klondike Tent

    Ozark Trail 8

Well, if youre planning to go camping this summer, guess who is going to be your best friend?

Yes, thats right! The Wenzel 8 Person Klondike Tent made it to my list of 7 of the best camping tents with porch Area in 2021 because of its numerous praiseworthy qualities.

This tent is 10/10 when it comes to space. Even after putting your gear, mattresses, and other things in the tent, there still is much room for you to move without bumping into anything.

It also comes with a separation that allows you to keep everything in its place hence doing justice with its top feature. The ventilation system of this tent is pretty good, too, as it promises good airflow. This makes it a suitable tent for the summer and humid seasons.

A few things that you might find problematic is that this tent needs to be prepped before being taken out. If youre unfamiliar with the process of weathering your tent, you might not like this tent at all.

Its pretty easy to set up as it comes with color-coded poles and easy-to-follow directions. You might not like the zippers because they are a bit unusual and tricky upon use, and the rainfly is not very popular either.

The seams are fine, and the screened porch does a good job keeping the bugs out of your hair and food. Lovely, right?
