How To Build A Gazebo Start From The Foundations
Stable foundations are one of the most important issues when building a gazebo. The facility should be resistant to weather conditions – such as strong winds.
Typically, when building a gazebo, one has to use point foundation as a base for poles. First, you should dig holes, 70-80 cm deep. They should be three times wider than the pole. For instance, if the pole is 20 cm thick, the hole in the ground should be around 60 cm wide.
Put some gravel at the bottom of each hole and fill the holes with concrete. When it starts coagulating, insert a steel anchor of the right size. After the concrete fully hardens, you will attach the poles to the anchors.
How To Build A Kit Gazebo Floor
The proper method for building the floor framing for a kit gazebo depends on the gazebo kit you buy. The illustrations here show how floor joists can radiate out from a central hub the gazebos posts connect to special column base blocks, as shown in the detail below.
With either style, you begin by fastening the structural members to the foundation pier at the center. The octagons points should be in line with the outer piers.
But before you begin to fasten the joists to the outer piers, site down each joist to make sure that its end lines up straight with the end of the opposite joist.
Place The Side Traverses In The Structure To Act As Beams
The side traverses should run along the longer side of the structure. Side traverses should be placed on the traverses that you had installed earlier on.
Follow the same procedure that you had used while installing the previous traverses. Once you place the traverses in the right position, use screws to fasten them on the adjacent traverses. The screws should be huge enough to hold those parts together.

Figuring Out The Slab:

You dont have to get the slab dimensions perfect, but the closer they come to it the easier things will be later. If you hate doing concrete work, skip this section, photocopy it and give it to your concrete mason. A crew can do the work for about $1,200 while youre out shopping for lumber or cutting parts . Closely follow Fig. B if you decide to pour the concrete slab yourself.
Running an Electrical Conduit
To build your gazebo, begin by driving a two-foot piece of rigid electrical conduit at the intended center of the gazebo. Drive it in 18 inches. Remove the sod with a rented sod cutter. Now build a square inner form for the patio inlay, 72-1/2-in. on each side. Center it as shown and drive in the stakes on the inside of the forms and screw them together.

Start at the bottom of the gazebo with the longest batten boards and work your way up. Assemble one pie wedge at a time, making sure the outside board is flush with the outside edge of the fascia board. Work your way around, securing the boards to both the main and middle rafters.
How To Build A Rectangular Gazebo Step
First of all, you have to build footings for the rectangular gazebo, as to make sure the posts will be secured properly. Therefore, you have to dig 10-15 in diameter holes , fill 3 with gravel and insert tube forms . Use a straight edge and a level, to make sure all four footings are horizontal.
Mix concrete, fill the forms and install the adjustable post anchors. After the concrete has dried out completely , you have to install the four posts into place.
Our rectangle gazebo plans are about a 7×10 construction, but you can adjust these dimensions to your needs.
After you have installed the four posts into place, you have to build the deck frame of your rectangular gazebo.
Install the decking plumbing the boards to the frame.
Next, install the top plate, using 2x4s or 4x4s. The installation process is straight forward, but you have to remember several tips, to get the job done as a professional. We recommend you to cut out the ends of the post in a L-shape and then, join them together. Insert several 6 screws, after you ensure the top plates are perfectly level.
Carry on with the roof structure as shown.
There are many roofing options but we recommend you to use asphalt singles, as they are both durable and have a neat look. Before installing the shingles, you have to cover the frame either with 2×6 wooden slats or with plywood.
Lastly, install the fence. Fix the bottom and top rails first and then the balusters of your choice.
