Make The Surface Sticky
Annoying the birds isnt difficult. All you have to do is make it difficult for them to land, perch, or roost on a surface. You can install bird spikes for sure but in case the surface wont allow, a bird gel repellent will save the day.

This just doesnt seem like a safe or humane option.
