Lawn Mowing Cost Per Week

Lawn Doctor – What to Expect

Regular lawn mowing once a week will run you an average of $30 to $80 per visit. Weekly costs are generally calculated based on the property size and type of work being done. Weekly mowing service is the most common contract option, especially during peak growing season, normally the spring and summer. This is because your lawn will grow faster, and the watering, sunshine, and fertilizer continue to nourish it.

Do Lawn Care Companies Have Guarantees

Many lawn care companies include a guarantee with their services. Guarantees ensure your lawn stays healthy and the treatment you receive matches your lawn care needs. If the guarantee doesnt offer money back for inefficient services, it typically provides reservice for free. Often, guarantees require you to follow proper instructions, maintain watering and ensure your account is up to date.

Find detailed information about the guarantees for our top lawn maintenance services below.

  • TruGreen: TruGreens Healthy Lawn Guarantee® promises reservice at no additional cost if youre not satisfied with your service at any point within 60 days.
  • Sunday: If you receive a damaged product or are missing part of your order, Sunday will send a replacement for free. The company will also work with you to remedy any issues.
  • Lawnbright: Lawnbright also re-sends any missing or damaged products at no additional cost. If youre not satisfied with the results of your plan, Lawnbright will help to find a solution.
  • Lawn Love: Lawn Love provides a Total Satisfaction Guarantee. If you arent fully satisfied with your service and notify the company within 24 hours, your connected lawn professional will return and fix things for free.
  • Lawn Doctor: If youre not satisfied with your service at any point, Lawn Doctor will either have an expert return to re-apply your application or refund the total amount.

Any Lawn Doctor Customers Out There

We were foolish enough to go with a lawn service â Lawn Doctor of Nashoba Valley in Ayer MA â for the past couple of years. Until this year, we were generally pleased with the service. We paid for x-number of applications up-front. This year however, theyâve only stopped by twice. They are now several weeks/months overdue for the remaining scheduled applications. They do not respond to e-mail, phone calls get routed to a full voice mail box. Faxes go who-knows-where. Most likely they packed up shop and left town. Was wondering if anyone else has run into similar trouble with their local Lawn Doctor? Not a very neighborly way to run a business.

I made the mistake of hiring Lawn Doctor. After I prepaid, they stopped treating my lawn. I called to complain after they didnât come to my house from February through Augustâbut still took my money for those months. Ever since I hired Lawn Doctor, the number of Dallis grass weeds has multiplied greatly. When I contacted the Lawn Doctor main headquarters, they werenât helpful. I contacted the Better Business Bureau to complain. Only then did Lawn Doctor agree to reimburse me for three treatments that they never did. So I accepted the offer and closed my complaint. But then Lawn Doctor reneged on their promise and never paid me what they promised. I would never use Lawn Doctor again nor recommend it to anyone.

The average cost to fertilize a lawn ranges from $200 to $500, depending on the fertilization type and lawn size. The average cost of professional lawn fertilization is around $400, covering approximately 10,900 sq.ft. of lawn and includes fertilization materials, supplies, and labor costs. Lawn Care Maintenance Costs Per Hour

Most professionals offer hourly rates on lawn care maintenance. You can expect to pay from $40 to $90 per hour for these services, depending on the additional maintenance tasks required. It is important to note that this price is per person per hour, so if multiple workers are used, the price per hour will go up, but the overall cost will likely be the same since having more people means it will be completed sooner. Very large areas often require multiple workers.

    Find Out The Track Record

Ask how long a lawn care provider has been in business. What level of experience and education does the person or a providers staff have? Also, is the provider properly licensed and insured?

Unfortunately, some providers are fly-by-night operators that havent been in business very long and are interested only in taking your money, not in providing top-notch service. As noted by MarketWatch, providing lawn care requires little more than some equipment and a business license. Almost no training is required.

The Only Reason I Am Giving Them 1 Star

The only reason I am giving them 1 star is that the site would not allow me to give a 0 rating. Plain and simple they are rude in the front office, whoever answers your phone and deals with customer service needs a little in business etiquette. To attempt to speak to them regarding an ongoing issue with snow removal and get no response or worse an inappropriate response. To be awakened at all hours of the night by their plows , the truck lights and headlights, filling my home, is disturbing and unsettling. To have someone respond to my neighbor when they attempted to complain, we have a permit and there is nothing you can do about it, is just plain rude.I understand that they have a limited number of hours to get what they need to be done however, Myself, family, neighbors need my sleep. I chose the area in which I live because it is quiet, well at least it was.

I have had nothing but great experiences with my technicians.

The Cost Of Diy Lawn Care Vs Trugreen

    Detail/Math/Knowledge Level: Medium

    • Im not picking on TruGreen. I am using them because everyone knows the name, and they are transparent with their pricing online too. Thats it. Dont take it personally TG, I love all of the things you taught me when I hired and trained dominant sales teams for you. And kudos for offering transparent pricing online. Seriously.
    • Im not saying TruGreen is bad. They serve a purpose but they are essentially my competition if you think about it. I want more homeowners to DIY so I can grow my audience. So in that vein, I am trying to take market share from them.
    • My primary goal, however, is to educate. In the end, some folks that read this may find they prefer to have a company like TG do their lawn, great.

Recently Im seeing some folks say their DIY lawn care is becoming expensive. More expensive than when they had a company like TruGreen on retainer. This is an interesting perception and one I want to address.

Lets look at the context. The primary reason DIY seems so expensive, and sometimes hiring TG doesnt, is that with TG, they come out and spray only the exact amount of product needed that day and that is essentially all you pay for. They shoulder the cost of buying in bulk and storing it, and you only pay for the amount of chemical used for your application – no more, no less.
