Heres a backyard story from Qualicum Beach, Vancouver Island.

We assembled a 12 x 14 pavilion on an octagonal concrete slab in August 2019.

To ensure the structural integrity of the mounting process I distributed the load across three rafter ties using a 1 x 8 plank and through bolts that came with the pavilion and steel angle iron as well as an additional L bracket on the centre vertical post.
