Sharing is caring!

The Creekstone log cabin is a great example of a classic log home with modern accents and a welcoming style. Wrap-around porches, two stories, and a gorgeous layout that is open and welcoming making it a model I am sure many want to use for inspiration.

Wrap-around porches are always a great addition to any home, but in this case, they are the perfect addition to a stunning log home. With dormer windows on the second floor, wrap-around porches that lead off onto the property on multiple sides, and more, it’s a home you are sure to love.

I love all of the windows on this home. They really bring in tons of daylight. So beautiful and functional at the same time.

On the far side of the cabin is a two-car garage leading underneath the home. While it doesn’t have a traditional walkout basement, this is a basement of sorts with the garage attached to the home making it easy.

The porches offer a ton of space for extra seating for the family. This includes the bistro set here on one side of the home and space for seating on the other sides.

There are plenty of chairs with cushions here that give you a cozy spot to look out on the property and the creek beside it!

Inside the home, the cathedral ceilings are a gorgeous addition with a stone fireplace along with one wall and windows all around.

Additional bathrooms have just as much style as the master with tons of extra storage as well.

A History Of Log Cabin House Plans

Log houses originally came from the Swedes. The ease of construction and use of often highly available logs made them a popular choice along the frontier of America. Remote mountain men and settlers are often depicted in these timber retreats, which has only added to their romantic luster. However, the high use of resources, popularity of other styles, and more advanced building techniques kept the log home plan out of the mainstream.

Today, log house plans as a specialty style have become extremely diverse and prone to luxuries. We offer home plans that are both luxurious and plain, large and small. Why To Love A Wrap Around Porch Or Deck

The reason were profiling log homes with wrap around porches is because they are extremely popular and they provide a huge range of benefits to the homeowners. These are the key reasons why add-ons make sense for log homes:

  • Make the Most of the Outdoors Since our cabins are often built to enjoy nature, building an expanded space that is out in nature enhances that objective. Many of the homes weve built overlook beautiful expanses or are nestled deep in the woods getting as close to that beauty as possible is one of the best parts of the home.
  • Excellent Areas for Entertaining While theres something to be said for a solitary retreat to your log cabin getaway, many people prefer to get away with their family or friends. These large porches make for excellent built-in entertaining spaces.
  • Unique and Luxurious Element While wrap around porches were once a common element to home building, you dont see this classic touch very often on new home builds anymore. Since youre building a log home to be different, it feels right to bring this unique luxury touch to your cabin.
  • All Weather Space When your vacation plans involve the weather cooperating so you can swim or hike, theres the risk of a let-down if it rains and youre stuck inside. However, by having a large and covered outdoor space, you can enjoy reading a book or spending time with family partially outdoors even if theres a downpour.
