Ive always admired this Pottery Barn wreath but didnt always love the pricetag. I decided to make my own for a fraction of the cost and show you how to do the same!
After making the wreath, I decided that my front door needed something extra so I figured out how to make the ornament garland as well. I love how these colors look together and coordinte with the rest of my porch. But you can easily use any color options to customize the wreath and garland to your own decor.

I love this tour in that there are different categories. I am sharing under the porch category. I almost didn’t sign up to participate. I didn’t know if I’d be complete with our porch decor. I finished up right before Thanksgiving. Low and behold a spot was still available.
Our porches are some of my favorite areas to decorate for the seasons.
I must say that I struggled to get photos. I literally wasn’t able to shoot with rain until yesterday. Talk about last minute. I’ve always worked best under pressure. After the clouds gave way, we had intense wind. The kind of wind that was bringing the last bits of leaves from trees down in droves. Instead of snow, I had leaves raining down. The wind blew them all over the porch.
I had to keep my favorite leaf sweeper by me at all times. I walked inside after spending all that time blowing leaves to bring my camera equipment outside. Max and Ashlyn were trimming shrubs and laughing. I accused them of blowing the leaves back on the patio and porch in the 5 minutes that I went inside.
Soooooif you see stray leaves, you’ll now know why. I gave up.

Square Pinecone Wreath Front Porch Decorating Ideas
A square pinecone wreath is an excellent option for people decorating their porch for the first time or those who are not used to more complicated projects. Its able to brighten up your front door without spending too much money on it!
This pinecone wreath design wont cost more than 20 bucks, but youll be surprised by how efficient these materials are in doing a gorgeous project that can boost the ambiance of your entire porch!
You should know that this front porch decorating idea uses a long piece of grapevine. To make the square shape, you need to bend both ends toward each other and secure them with floral wire. Then, glue some red berries all over the grapevine square to finish off the project.

Pan Lid Snowman Front Porch Christmas Decorations
If you want to go with a simple DIY front porch decoration for Christmas, you cant go wrong by crafting a pan lid snowman. Its easy to make and requires very few materials, so youll be able to complete it in no time.
When it comes to materials, make sure you have the following items: an old metal pan lid, craft paints in black, orange, and white, clear spray sealer, decorating chalks , white spray paint, a mini garland, E-6000 glue, a ribbon, and a Crop-a-Dile to punch the hole in the lid.
Start by thoroughly washing the lid before spray-painting it white. Allow the paint to dry off before sealing it, and then punch a hole at the top-middle part using the Crop-a-Dile. This will later come useful for hanging the pan lid snowman.
Next, you have to paint the snowmans facial expressions and add a ribbon to hang the pan lid on your front door. If you want a bigger project, you can paint three lids of different sizes. The first will function as the base of the snowman, the second will serve as the middle layer, and the third will form the head. When all three lids are painted, you can stack them up one upon the other to create a pretty realistic snowman.

DIY Outdoor Porch Christmas Topiaries Tutorial Less than $5!
These are my front porch topiary pots.
They are empty. They are sad. Just leftover dirt from my summer flowers.
They need some Christmas love. Some Christmas sparkle.
So here is what I did, for less than $5.
First, I gathered branches from trees. I went scouting for branches that were discarded from fall cleanup. They are everywhere! They are on the side of the road all over on the outside of town. They are on the edges of ditch banks. They are in parks and school playgrounds. They are seriously everywhere. I didnt cut ANY off trees, just used the dead ones on the ground. You might have some in your backyard! Here I used them natural, butI have spray painted them gold before and they looked great too. Im sure they would look great painted white or silver as well.
Here are the two wreaths I scored on an after Christmas sale at JoAnns last year.
Each wreath was $2.50.
After my Christmas tree was decorated, I put the extra ornaments into a big bowl.
This is will be the perfect use for them.
Now, we start!
First, lay your wreath on the outside of your pot.
After securing branches, take any old fabric- it doesnt have to be pretty, just match. Stuff it around the bottom of the branches to make a nest for your ornaments.
I added more bling with a few fake crystal ornaments to catch the sun.

I am notorious for tearing old wreaths apart and keeping the pieces that still look great. Years ago I purchased this horribly expensive wreath from a local shop. It was so pretty, but started showing wear. This bird house was actually part of the wreath. I kept it. It’s cute on the porch as decor. I don’t want birds nesting it so I place a ball picks from another wreath in the hole to keep them out. We have a serious love hate relationship with our birds and the porch. Hoping the trimming of the front trees cuts down on it.
I made this painted sign several years ago. I should probably change it up. I made it specifically to fit here. I just love it so much here that I plan to keep enjoying it.
This sleigh was a thrifty makeover on the blog in November. The white is so striking. I just stuffed it with some larger faux holiday picks and this fun santa head plaque that I picked up at the thrift store. Nothing needed to be done to him.
