Although Sam Adams Holiday Porter is lighter than most British porter options on the market, I enjoy trying it whenever its available.
Its available every winter and incorporates several types of malted barley to give it a robust and full-bodied sensation.
It has a roasted and smoky aroma when opened and hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. Like many other Sam Adams beer options, it has an ABV of 5.8%.
It has a bitter aftertaste similar to some dark chocolates, but I consider it an excellent option for anyone who prefers that over fruitier flavors. I like pairing this with artisan cheeses or holiday desserts.

Another one of the best Sam Adams beers is their discontinued Sam Adams Chocolate Bock.
I consider it a great beer for anyone looking for a darker option to drink. It has a smooth and rich texture, perfectly replicating the taste of chocolate for anyone craving a beer with minimal bitterness.
Sam Adams produced its sweet flavor by aging it on a bed of Ecuadorian cocoa nibs. When I tried this beer, I could detect traces of pure chocolate, vanilla, and honey.

Official Beer Of The Red Sox
Beginning with the 2018 season, Samuel Adams became the official beer of the Boston Red Sox replacing Budweiser. The eight-year deal will last through the 2025 season and include signage at Fenway Park. The agreement also allows Boston Beer to use the Red Sox logo for marketing purposes, as well as to conduct Red Sox related contests with tickets to games.

Based on public data, it looks like the new Samuel Adams Beers of Summer pack started hitting shelves in some markets as early as the weekend of March 9th.
The Boston Beer Company has been a central target of criticism from those against seasonal creep in which seasonals are first released a few months before their respective seasons are officially recognized on the calendar. Samuel Adams seasonal brands have traditionally been among the earliest to hit the market.
In any event, this years summer pack features: Summer Ale, Boston Lager, Porch Rocker , Belgian Session, Little White Rye and Blueberry Hill Lager .
Porch Rocker six-packs will arrive in late April/early May, per the brewery.
The forecast for Boston, where the company is headquartered, calls for snow accumulation of 1-3 inches between Monday night and Tuesday.

The company sold this beer as a part of their Barrel Room and Limited Release packages. It doesnt have an intense bitterness, so its a great option if you crave something tart yet filling with a 7% ABV.
When I tried this beer, I could detect a hint of toasted oak within its rich malt, resulting from the krieks barrel-aging process.
It has a sour aftertaste, which I consider a nice change of pace to ones that are sweet or bitter. However, it might be overwhelming for anyone sensitive to tartness.

Samuel Adams Utopias Beer Is Banned In 15 States Heres Why
Samuel Adams new Utopias beer is so strong, it should be illegal oh wait, it actually is illegal in 15 states.
Utopias is a line of limited-edition, high-alcohol beers that Boston Beer Company releases every two years. This year, the brews carry a staggering 28 percent alcohol by volume, or ABV. By comparison, the classic Samuel Adams Boston Lager is just 5 percent ABV.
The outsize alcohol content means the barrel-aged brew cannot be sold in or shipped to states all over the country. That includes Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, Utah, Vermont, and West Virginia.
Dont worry Massachusetts does not restrict sales of the boozy beer.
This isnt the first year the drink has packed a punch. Utopias beers, which first came on the market in 2002, were also banned in a number of states in 2017 and 2019 and carried a similar astronomical alcohol level.
So why is the ABV so high? Utopias contains a mixture of multiple batches of Samuel Adams extreme beers, some of which have been aging in wooden bourbon casks for almost 30 years, according to a Sept. 16 release from the company. This year, the brewing process included 2,000 pounds of cherries, infusing the tipple with sweet, fruity notes.

My first blog post is about how Samuel Adams has been releasing their seasonal beers earlier and earlier each year. For instance, today is March 23, 2021 and the first day of Spring was March 20. Today on Sam Adams page they announced today that Sam Adams Summer Ale was now available. I am sure I am not the only one that this bothers. My question is why release a summer ale 3 days into Spring? Why not wait until June 1?
Sam Adams does this with most of their seasonal beers. When I think of Fall, I think of cool weather, leaves falling, fire pits burning and most importantly Octoberfest. Anyone that knows me, knows I love all Octoberfest beer. Sam Adams has decided over the last few years to release their Octoberfest in the beginning of August. Thats right, right in the middle of the Summer. It might as well be called Augustfest. By the time October rolls around if you stock up like I do you will be able to enjoy Sam Adams Octoberfest during the Fall and beginning of Winter.
