Consumers are also becoming more conscious of what they spend money on, and Schleis believes sustainability will have a “huge influence” on purchase decisions.
And when it comes to color, Schleis believes that blue tones and shades will find their place in our outdoor spaces. “Both Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams colors of the year for 2022 have blue undertones. Shades of blues offer both comfort and solace and will be a huge trend for 2022,” she explains.

Heres a very incomplete list of the types of materials youll find when shopping for outdoor furniture: teak, eucalyptus, stainless steel, aluminum, wrought iron, wicker, synthetic resin. Each material has pros and cons that make it ideal for certain climates and outdoor situations and not for others. Consider the various metals, for instance.
